Arthur Fery Returns: Cincinnati Debut Announced!

Arthur Fery is back on court for the first time since his historic Wimbledon run. The newly crowned British No. 1 makes his ATP Masters 1000 main draw debut this week at the Cincinnati Open 2026 after a month-long break following SW19.

A New Chapter at World No. 36

Fery’s dream run to the Wimbledon semi-finals transformed his career trajectory. Entering the grass-court season outside the top 150, the 24-year-old skyrocketed to a career-high World No. 36, overtaking his peers to become Great Britain’s top-ranked male singles player.

After taking time off for rest and a hard-court training block, Fery enters Cincinnati with direct entrance into an ATP Masters 1000 main draw for the first time.

"It's the first time that I've broken through like that and I'm going to be able to play only tour events, so I'm looking forward to that," Fery said ahead of his return.

Cincinnati Open Draw & Path

Despite making his debut in Mason, Ohio, Fery's upgraded ranking earns him the 32nd seed and a first-round bye.

  • Round 2 Opponent: Winner of Australia's James Duckworth vs. a Qualifier.

  • Potential Round 3 Threat: Fifth seed Alex de Minaur.

With the US Open 2026 just around the corner, Fery's performance in Cincinnati will serve as a crucial barometer for his momentum on North American hard courts.
