Shock Transfer: Curtis Jones to Inter Milan! Liverpool Accept €35m Deal as Star Flies for Medical
Liverpool have formally accepted a transfer agreement to sell midfielder Curtis Jones to Serie A champions Inter Milan. The 25-year-old England international has been given permission to travel to Italy to undergo his medical tests ahead of finalizing his move to San Siro.
The deal ends Jones’ 16-year stint at Anfield, where he progressed from the youth ranks to make 228 senior appearances across all competitions.
Transfer Structure & Terms
The total package agreed between the two clubs stands at €35m (£30m).
Guaranteed Fee: €30m (£25.7m)
Add-ons: €5m (£4.3m) performance-related bonuses
Sell-on Clause: 10% cut on any future transfer fee for Liverpool
A New Italian Chapter
Inter Milan had identified Jones as a priority target in midfield earlier in the year. Jones becomes the third England international to arrive at Inter during the summer transfer window, joining defender John Stones and full-back Djed Spence.
With his contract entering its final year and limited guaranteed starting minutes under Arne Slot last season, the Liverpudlian chose to embark on a new challenge in Serie A.
